The Glass Menagerie
Our production of The Glass Menagerie was deeply rooted in Tennessee Williams' idea of the "memory play." The entire production was framed as being Tom's memory of abandoning his family, confessing to the audience, and asking forgiveness. All of the characters had their roles in the house, much like characters in a music box. There were also musical moments that occurred when a character in Tom's memory remembered something from their past. These were strongly enhanced by microphones, lights, and media effects.
