Our production of Outside Mullingar was set in present day Ireland, in a small farming community. The music of the play is modern, but has an older feel in the quality of the playing. Most of the songs were pre-recorded, to seem familiar. We recorded a guitar version of Wild Mountain Thyme for the production, so that it would fit perfectly in the underscore of the resolving moment.
